This commemorative issue, “Memory, Celebration and Resistances”, invites us to pause, look back and celebrate a journey of more than 12 years. It is a journey marked by the hope of building, collectively, a scientific journal that questions, debates and seeks not to reproduce the power mechanisms it criticises.
With a distinctive structure, it brings together two sections. The “Memory and Celebration” section offers a reflection on memory, learning and transformation, and gathers free-form accounts from people connected to the Sinergias ED Community who wished to recall and celebrate experiences they have lived with us. The “Resistances” section collects discussion pieces exploring different ways of resisting in pursuit of fairer societies.
To celebrate is also to thank those who, over these 20 issues, have shaped the journal, and to resist haste, competition and the invisibilisation of knowledges. More than a full stop, this issue renews our commitment to keep listening, questioning and making space for other voices, languages and ways of producing knowledge.
