Sinergias Journal Issue Now Available

Issue 18 of Sinergias – Educational Dialogues for Social Transformation is now available, once again dedicated to the theme “Democracy(ies): transforming oppressive paradigms of power through Development Education.”

Under this theme, the new issue highlights the importance of continuing to reflect on democracy, at a time when it remains urgent to think it through, practice it, and reinvent it.

As the etymology of the word reminds us, democracy literally means “the power of the people.” However, between its original meaning and current practices, there are tensions and contradictions that Development Education and Global Citizenship Education continually seek to shed light on and transform.

This new issue therefore emerges as a continuation and deepening of the path begun in the previous edition, recognizing that much has already been discussed, but that there is still more to question, rethink, and propose.

Join us in these critical dialogues, composed of multiple voices, experiences, and perspectives, and let yourself be inspired to build, together with others, new ways of living and strengthening Democracy.
